Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) Pipeline

Built an intelligent, containerized license plate recognition system tailored for regional vehicle parsing and review workflows.

Challenge

Manual vehicle entry logging and security verification at gated facilities created bottlenecks and introduced human error into audit trails.

Strategy

Implemented an end-to-end containerized computer vision pipeline combining optical character recognition with automated parsing rules and human-in-the-loop validation.

Solution

A high-performance FastAPI service integrating OpenCV and EasyOCR to parse vehicle plates, coupled with a review queue dashboard to handle edge cases and verification.

Outcome

Automated the extraction and logging of vehicle license plates, reducing manual inspection overhead and delivering reliable throughput for entry gates.
